Testifying to the Word of God

Word of God two-edged swordIn 2005 I started reading my Bible. I just picked it up one day and started reading. I don't even remember where I started: I just remember reading. I'm sure it was no accident. I was reading, reading reading... Then I got to the book of Revelation and I got scared and stopped. I don't remember what scripture it was. All I know is that the Word got deep down inside of me.

I started talking differently. Reading the Bible had got a change in me. Even before I actually got saved this happened. I started saying "Im tired of my life and I'm going to start going to church and Im going to get saved and get baptized." At that time I was living in sin with my boyfriend. I no longer wanted to be with him, living in sin. I wanted him to move out.

Later that same year, in April 2005, I went to visit a church: a church called Newlife Vallejo. I am a member there even today. The first day I went to that church I knew that was where I was supposed to be. I felt so much love there from everyone and the teaching was 'Awesome' that I stayed on. They taught from the Word of God... a Bible-based church. The point I am making is the Word of God is 'Sharper than any two-edge Sword' ... just like Scripture says in Hebrews 4:12. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Today I am no longer living in sin. I am happily married to a wonderful, handsome man who is an Elder and we live our life for God. Start today and read that Word to see what happens. There is Power in the Word of God. If God can do it for me He can do it for you. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, come today. Jesus gave His life for yours. You owe it to Him give Him yours today. Now is the time... Do it!

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Hebrews 4:12
