Mandy's Pages Turns One

Amanda DcostaOne long year has slipped by and today, Mandy's Pages completes one year on the World Wide Web.  Actually, it was on February 29, last year, that I launched my website.

Before I proceed with what Mandy's Pages has to offer, or highlight the accomplishments of the past year, I'd like to bow my head in gratitude for this wonderful blessing in Mandy's Pages.  I am eternally grateful for all that has been achieved, the incredible support I have received from editors, writers, readers and the innumerable 'shares' on account of Mandy's Pages. This site has been a blessing for me, and a way to bring out my creativity and sense of business.  It has led me to push my mind beyond what I would limit myself to as a writer, to be adventurous and feel excitement in something that brings zest to my life. Thank you Lord for such a blessing.  Thank you Lord for Mandy's Pages.

To recap, Mandy's Pages started out with the display of articles.  The first to support my site, were Stanley Courage Dugah and Christina Pomoni with their articles on Finance. There is also Diane Quinn with her article at the Home Improvement section. Adam Clark helped the Writer's Corner take form with his sports updates, Kerry Wood has enriched the Arts and Humanities category with his many poems and reviews and Dauphne McMurry contributed to the Thanksgiving reflections. Gerald Dcosta supported the site with his photographic skill.

Currently the editors at Mandy's Pages are Mike Williams, Christina Pomoni, Adam Clark, Raymond Alexander Kukkee and Jim Bessey.  There are also many writers on the team that have contributed to sales.  Christy Birmingham, Cody Hodge, Mihaela Schwartz  and Ludmillia Jones deserve special mention.

Last November, Nelson Dcosta helped me set up Mandy's Book Mart.  The first book to enter the store was Raymond's book - Morgidoo's Christmas Carol. Thank you Nelson for your invaluable help, and Raymond, for allowing me to put your book up for sale at MBM.

Mandy's Market, a sales extension, has been working silently parallel to the site since the start of Mandy's Pages. Although this has not been prominent in attracting work from clients, it has nonetheless given us a reason to write and continue with the site. I thank the many writers, clients and supporters who make Mandy's Market sell.

There is one name that I have to mention, and that all this will not have been possible without his help: Mike L. Williams, co-admin and technical head of Mandy's Pages.  He believed in me and supported my dream, and this site is equally his as it is mine.  Thank you Mike, for your friendship and sense of business. You are great at what you do, and I want to say how proud I am of you.  Mike initiated the Author Spotlight and Book Review sections which have been immensely appreciated by authors, writers and readers alike.

At the start of February this year, Editor Christina Pomoni agreed to share her talent for interviewing writers at Friday's Stars, a section for unpublished writers to share their dreams.  This was started with the hope that even a little bit of encouragement from Mandy's Pages may motivate writers to take that first leap of faith and write their very first book.

Mandy's Pages started out with just one mission in mind and to that end will Mandy's Pages strive.

There are a lot of plans for expansion and ideas for growth.  However, if you would like to step foot into Mandy's Pages and be part of a growing team, please do share your ideas and views with me.  Drop me a note at my email address listed below.

If you want to the world to know about your product or service, Mandy's Pages has room for your world.  Again, drop me a note and we can work on advertising your site or business for you.

My team and I believe that there are aspects that need improvement and we could work on refining sections that are already on the site. If you believe that you can make a difference by pointing us in the right direction, we will be happy to hear from you. Do take a moment to send your feedback to the address below.

I hope to have the site functional in such a way you may sell articles directly from each category page.  Until then, articles will be displayed under each category.  If you would like to submit an article, again, please get in touch with me at my address.

For all correspondence,  my email address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  I will be happy to hear from you.

Once again, thank you for your undying support and loyalty to Mandy's Pages. This site is one of the best things that has happened to me and I experience your enriching interaction everyday in some form or the other.  Thank you, yet again.
