I Thank You Lord

I have so much to be grateful for.  I mean, who knew I would be launching an online publishing company for the purpose of providing content and resources by and for writers, advertisers and other online publishers? Not I.  I did not think of this prior to February that just slipped us by.

First I seriously take up dress-making, with my advertisement going public at the beginning of the month (Feb), and then towards the end its the launch of Mandy's Pages, not as a blog, but as a new venture in publishing.   These two ventures all in the same month!  You can't get any luckier than that. No - it's not luck. It's 'being blessed'.

One very important part of your walk with the Lord, is the voice that you hear speaking to you loud and clear - within the silence of your heart; and you know it's the Lord speaking to you.   This is how I've felt these past two weeks, as I've seen new ideas form and heard new directions; and instructions.  My friend Mike can attest to these changes, which I am sure must have surprised him too.  I had first intended to create a website for just my work.  However, it suddenly took the form of a large-scale publishing venture. I was surprised about it too.

Such is the work of the Lord in us.  Here I was grumbling and mumbling about not getting a job, when the Lord was already planning a way for work to be brought to me instead.  I have received  quite a few local orders for my dress-making business, and also assurance from writers that they love this new publishing site. Quite a few have already started contributing content to be published at my site.

Just like I said at Mandy's Pages, my heart soars with praise and gratitude for what the Lord has taken me through in February.  Some may say that the leap year brings good luck, while some just the opposite: but for me, I shall remember February as a month in this leap year where the Lord held my hand to leap out in faith.   And the result of February 29th this year is Mandy's Pages.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans for your welfare and not not your destruction; plans to give you hope and a good future."
